How to turn your playbook into quizzes for your players

Are your players turning up to practice or even game days without knowing their plays and assignment? Are you looking for an engaging way to help your team learn and stay up-to-date with your playbook?

This new play drawing and playbook management tool might the solution for you. Without you putting in any extra effort, Play Designer Pro turns your playbook into an unlimited number of bite-sized interactive quizzes for your players.

To get started, create an account and then set up your team and make it your own by adding a team name and logo. You can also configure the number of players-per-side that you play. In addition to the 11v11 format, Play Designer Pro also supports from 4v4 to 12v12. Very handy if you're coaching a youth or flag team.

Now it's time to get your plays into the platform, you have two options. The easiest of the two is simply to import your existing playbook. It lets you upload your playbook in whatever format you have available, and then Play Designer Pro will convert it for you. The import option takes a day or two, so if you're in a rush, you can build your playbook yourself with Play Designer Pro's play drawing tools.

It comes with a comprehensive suite of play drawing tools including creating formation templates, precision line drawing, and preset defences to show run fits and adjustments.

Once you're happy with your playbook, or at least once you have created at least 5 plays, you'll now be able to access the "Learn" tab, featuring the automatically generated quizzes from your playbook.

Play Designer Pro automatically generates quizzes for different focus areas such as play tags (run, pass, RPO, etc..), formation, and install. Installs are collections of plays that that are great for helping you to point your players to the plays that you want them to focus on for an upcoming practice or game.

But before your players can take quizzes, you'll need to invite them to the team. Head to the "Roster" page, share your unique team code with your team and send them to the page to request to join the team.

You'll be able to review all requests before choosing to accept or decline player requests, and you can manage the roster from here at any time.

Once your players start taking quizzes, you'll get performance insight on how your team is getting now with the quizzes.

You'll get breakdowns of the plays your players know well and those they are struggling with, which of your players are putting in the work and which ones are slacking, and how well your players are performing on your installs—crucial for understanding if your team in ready for this week's game plan.
