Feature update: Printing one or six plays per page and reduced file size
Published: June 11, 2026
Although we believe the best part of Play Designer Pro is centred around building, distributing and learning your playbook through the online platform, we know that sometimes you just want to print things out and share them in person.
That's why we're gradually improving the printing options available to you as a coach.
Printing as full page or six-per-page
We've improved printing collections of plays so that you now have the option to choose whether you'd like it to print as a full page for each play, complete with description and coaching notes, or if you'd like to show multiple plays on each page.

Whenever you download from a group, install, or the entire playbook from the plays tab, you have the option to choose between "One play per page" and "Six plays per page".

Reduced file size
Some of you may have noticed that the file size of our PDF downloads has been a little larger than expected.
I'm happy to say that we've now managed to reduce this, without compromising on quality.
As an example, previously a single play could be around 52MB. Now that same play is down to just 232KB (0.232MB)—a reduction of more than 99%!
This reduction should have taken effect across all PDF downloads. Some may not be down by as much as 99%, but they will still be greatly reduced.
This should help you free up space on your device or cloud storage, and even make it possible to pass email attachment restrictions which may have been preventing you from sending your playbook PDF.
